Determinants of Dividend Payout Ratio in Indonesian Consumption and Goods Companies

Abstract


This study examines the effects of sales growth, total asset turnover, and investment opportunity set on dividend payout ratios in Indonesian consumer and product companies. This study employs a purposive sample technique to use panel data from 10 companies covering the years 2018–2021, with 40 observations. This study processed the panel technique using EViews. The study’s findings indicated that the dividend payout ratio was influenced by the investment opportunities set. In the meanwhile, the dividend payout ratio is unaffected by total asset turnover, sales growth, and good corporate governance.
