Abstract

This paper aims to provide a contribution in reviewing theoretical studies of supply chain management in order to propose a research preposition on the performance of hotel business organizations in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) through their competitive advantages. By applying supply chain management theory, it is hoped that supply chain management can have a positive influence on the performance and competitive advantage of hotel business organizations. Observations are planned to be carried out using 50 samples of 3-5 star hotels in DIY and data collection is carried out using questionnaires and in-depth interviews with 50 hotel managers. Sampling was carried out randomly and the model was designed using a structural equation approach. All expected research hypotheses can show that by using the functional dimensions of supply chain management, we can observe a positive impact on hotel business organizational performance and competitive advantage. In addition, competitive advantage is expected to mediate supply management and organizational performance.
