Crosmark Policy

Crossmark

All articles published in the Journal of the Community Development in Asia (JCDA) receive a DOI and are permanently published, regardless of the peer review stage that follows publication.

All content, including pre-reviewed submissions, is permanently archived on the JCDA OJS platform. Articles that have passed peer review are accessible in the JCDA Archive Page.

Authors may revise their work by submitting new versions, which are appended to the article’s history. Once published, versions remain unaltered and publicly available. JCDA participates in the CrossMark system, enabling readers to verify the current version and track any updates. This reflects JCDA’s commitment to transparency and content integrity.

Crossmark Logo

By clicking the CrossMark logo on JCDA articles, readers will be directed to the current status and any version updates, along with key publication dates.

Correction to an Article

Corrections (Errata) may be issued if post-publication errors are discovered. In JCDA’s continuous publication model, authors can submit updated versions, and changes will be summarized in the ‘Amendments’ section of the new version.

Retraction

Retractions may occur for the following reasons:

  • Genuine errors (e.g., faulty equipment or data issues)
  • Research misconduct or data fabrication
  • Duplicate or overlapping publication
  • Plagiarism
  • Unethical practices

Retracted articles will be clearly marked and accompanied by a retraction notice stating the reason and initiator. The content may only be removed under legal conditions, such as defamation, copyright violation, or court orders.

Editorial Note

If unresolved issues arise, an Editorial Note may be issued to inform readers of concerns pending further investigation.

Expression of Concern

In cases where there is significant doubt but no definitive evidence for retraction, an Expression of Concern may be published. This includes situations such as:

  • Unresolved ethical concerns
  • Refusal by institutions to investigate
  • Biased or inconclusive investigations
