Publication Timeline

Manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of Applied Business and International Management (IJABIM) proceed through editorial screening, external peer review, revision where required, final editorial evaluation, and production before publication.

The time required for an individual manuscript varies according to the complexity and quality of the submission, reviewer availability, the number and extent of revision rounds, the time taken by authors to respond to comments, and the journal's production schedule. IJABIM therefore does not guarantee a fixed period from submission to acceptance or publication.

Editorial Stages

1. Submission and initial screening. The editorial team checks the manuscript's relevance to IJABIM's aims and scope, basic scholarly quality, submission completeness, anonymization, and compliance with journal requirements.
2. External peer review. Manuscripts that pass initial screening are normally evaluated through double-blind peer review by at least two independent subject experts.
3. Editorial decision and revision. On the basis of reviewer reports and editorial assessment, authors may be asked to revise the manuscript. A revised manuscript may be returned to reviewers when additional evaluation is necessary.
4. Final editorial decision. Acceptance is issued only after the Editor is satisfied that the manuscript has adequately addressed the scholarly and editorial requirements of the journal.
5. Production and proofreading. Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout, metadata checking, author proofing, DOI and licensing verification, and final publication preparation.
6. Publication. Articles are assigned to a scheduled IJABIM issue after completion of the editorial and production processes.

The journal publishes three issues each year, in April, August, and December. Submission of a manuscript for a particular issue does not guarantee its acceptance or publication in that issue.
